This realisation wouldn't be without the internet. If it wasn't for my browsing about I would never had discovered the existence of these internal window. Furthermore they've got a quite high anti-burglar ratting and some are even fire & bullet-proof.


It's realy quite simple to do, cut out a bit of wall, secure the hole with some lintels, glue the glas bricks together & fill the joints up.

Warm Mushroom Sandwich


Based on a smoked reindeer recipe my dearest friend brought from the high North. Like we find plenty of mushrooms in the meadow lately I tried it out without smoked reindeer and it was worthwhile. Even without parsley or with something extra like some fresh nuts or cheese mixed in, I even made it like a starter without bread.


What you need

• An handfull of fresh mushrooms


• Butter


• A small spoon of flour


• Some milk


• Salt & Pepper


• A tablespoon of parsley


• Bread of choice.


• Optional: Some fresh nuts, smoked ham or whatever you fancy.

• Pre-heat a fryingpan, put a lump of butter in the pan and add the mushrooms to the sizzling butter.


• Stir-fry the mushrooms for a couple of minutes and then put them on a low fire.


• Season with salt & pepper and sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms.


• Poor a bit of milk over the coated mushrooms until the bottom of the pan is covered.


• Mix everything well so the milk binds with the flour to make a creamy whole.


• Add the parsley and eventually some choped smoked ham or choped nuts, let it infuse for a minute and it's ready to be spread on the bread.

Pickled ginger Trout


One of those rare improvisations with whatever was in my grasp that turned out great.


What you need (per trout)

• A trout


• 1 tablespoon of pickeled ginger


• 1 tablespoon of Ricard (or other Anisette)


• 1 clove of garlic


• 1 tablespoon of parsley


• Salt & Pepper


• Tinfoil

• First clean the trout and display her on a sheet of tinfoil.


• Season with salt & pepper in-and outside.


• Put half of the pickled ginger, choped garlic and persil inside and the rest along side the trout on the tinfoil.


• Sprinkle the Ricard in and over the lot and fold the tinfoil like and envelope.


• Lay the 'papilotte' for about 12 minutes on the BBQ (straight on the charcoals) or 20 minutes in the oven and you've got something freshly different.
